Start Of A Journey

Why am I writing this blog?

Good question..I guess I’d like to keep a diary of my journey into entrepreneurship involving all things business and faith.

But that’s not the sole purpose of the blog.

It’s a way for me to remember and look back to where I came from, if the future dares hold different for me.

I also want to use this a platform to share and help others from what I’ve learnt, to encourage and help you to achieve the best of your potential.

Late last year I’ve had a sudden shift in my perspective of things, how the world operates, education system, money, our purpose in life, just to name a few. Just like everyone else, I’ve went through the normal “education system”, graduating with a degree and landing a 9-5 job. But something hit me, something made me realize this path is not what I’m meant to be.

Sure, it’s a sure fire way to generate a stable income, work your way up the ladder, you know the drill. But for me, I know deep down I will not be content with this lifestyle.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. Many of you may have come out of college or University thinking – “Was that really worth it”?

Was that three to five years of learning and acquiring a degree really worth it? For some – sure, I believe if you really followed your passion and your heart. For example, your passion was to help others in need of health and sickness then becoming a doctor is definitely your calling.

But for majority of us, we are lost. Eight to ten people I speak to usually gives the same response:

  • It’s not what I wanted, but parents wanted me to do it
  • I did it anyway because the job market is good
  • I don’t know what to be, so I picked this one
  • Oh I’ll just see what my options are and explore
  • And the list goes on….
Sounds familiar?

So what do we do when this is the case?

We need the trait of self-awareness.

“By becoming self aware, you gain ownership of reality; in becoming real, you become the master of both inner and outer life ” – Deepak Chopra

How do we start to be self-aware?

It really does start with the mind. A shift in perspective. A shift in attitude. A shift in focus.

By being self-aware of what really is happening around us, people, relationships, how the world moves and operates, we start to grasp a deeper meaning behind all of it, and ultimately, you can find YOUR true purpose and calling.

Stay humble,
